Screen Shot 2016-02-25 at 08.03.03This week ZapCarbon having been sharing their experience at the 2nd Behaviour Change Conference, organised by the UCL Centre for Behaviour Change in London.

Having attended last year, this year ZapCarbon brought together a panel of practitioners to share their real-work experience of behaviour change. The common focus was around driving environmental improvement and energy awareness.

The session was chaired by Dale Holroyd, and on the panel were Dr. Andrew Smith (ZapCarbon), John Bailey (University of London) and Liz Bell (L&Q Housing). To an audience of over 100 people the panel presented the findings of their work and the results achieved on the ground. Many of the audience were from academic background, and the presentations generated a lot of positive discussion.

A common thread to the work was how the iterative approach to behaviour change is important to generate the best results.

Comments from one delegate summarised the mood well: “I find it exciting when academics and commercial organisations meet – so many good ideas emerge”

Andrew Smith commented: “We certainly enjoyed the conference and subsequent discussions – and very much value being part of this powerful community”
