How much Energy can I expect to save?

It’s hard to generalise, as houses and us folk within them all differ so much. However if I had to give to a figure, saving 25% of your electricity consumption is well within reach.

In the home we live, we have found it perfectly possible to reduce our Carbon emissions by 60% and still live very comfortable lives, just through doing the things listed here.   And that's even with a new-born baby arriving on the scene !

While not yet fossil-fuel free, these levels of reductions repeated across thousands of other homes would be a major step forward in lowering CO₂ emissions.

Whatever you do though, you will be taking positive steps - you will be doing something. As climate change grows and grows the next generation will be asking why we didn’t do something sooner.

We hope that this site allows as many people as possible to take positive steps large or small. But critically, to take them !
