How does ZapCarbon work?

Our houses are crammed full of energy saving opportunities. It's a very rare house that doesn't waste a good proportion of its energy. Trouble is, we often simply aren't aware of it.

Our site simply helps you see this waste a bit better - provides a pair of "energy goggles" if you like. And for every waste, there's a potential saving opportunity.

You can browse the site room-by-room and see what savings could work for your home. It's not prescriptive, and you can do as little or as much as you like.

Importantly, we also help you measure your progress. By simply taking an electricity meter reading you can get your own Energy and Carbon profiles which show you exactly how much you've saved. Make a change and see how much you've saved.

Share, Compare and Compete:

If you like you can leave it at that. However, the best bit comes in competing with others - seeing who can save the most ! You might compete with a friend, or set up a contest with a group who all want to make a difference. There's nothing like a bit of healthy competition to get our inner Carbon saving champion going.

Whatever the case, cutting needless energy waste at home will produce Carbon savings for us all.
